John Hansen was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, and after receiving a Construction Engineering degree from Arizona State University, he returned to Poulsbo. He partnered with his father in a residential/commercial construction company eventually moving to sunny Santa Fe, NM, to continue his 38-year construction career where he met his wife. Upon retirement they’ve been pursuing their life-long dream of offshore sailing while sharing their time between the Coyle community, mountain biking, and enjoying the Olympic Peninsula. John is a volunteer with Station 22 and currently in EMT training.
