Section 52.12.131 RCW allows fire districts that provide emergency medical services (EMS) to establish and collect reasonable charges for those services. In 2013, the District established EMS ambulance transport billing to offset the high costs involved in providing the service to our community. Resolution 2022-005 sets the current fees as follows:
Basic Life Support (BLS) $700.00
Advanced Life Support, Level 1 (ALS1) $800.00
Advanced Life Support, Level 2 (ALS2) $900.00
Mileage Charge $19.00 per mile
