Engine 21 is a 2005 Freightliner Navstar housed at Station 21. Engine 21 is a Type 1 engine with a 750 gallon water tank and 1,500 GPM pump.
A fire engine typically carries firefighters and equipment to a fire or emergency. The engine has three key components on board: hoses, a tank that holds water, and a pump that supplies the hoses with water. An engine also carries tools for a wide range of firefighting and rescue tasks, including ladders, self-contained breathing apparatus, ventilating equipment, first aid kits, and hydraulic rescue tools.
