Brush 22

Brush 22 is a 2024 Ford F-350 housed at Station 22.  Brush 22 has a 200 gallon water tank and a 120 gpm pump.

brush truck is a type of firefighting vehicle specifically designed to fight fires in areas that are difficult to access with a conventional fire engine. These include wildlands, rural locations, and regions with rugged terrains like forests, fields, and mountainous zones. Their agility allows brush trucks to reach fire scenes faster than larger apparatus, crucial for:

  • Containment: Stopping fires before they spread.
  • Initial Attack: Providing immediate action while larger units are en route.

Beyond wildfires, brush trucks are useful for:

  • Rescue Operations: Accessing remote accident sites.
  • Disaster Response: Navigating debris-strewn areas after storms or floods.

Brush 22 has been specially designed and upfitted by the members of Coyle Station 22 to address the particular needs of the Toandos Peninsula. Kudos to Captain Grooms and his crew for their hard work!
