The Administration building, located across the street from Station 21, provides office space for the Chief and District Secretary. The Administration building and Crew Quarters, along with several other buildings, were all part of the US Forest Service Quilcene Ranger Station "Lower Compound." The older compound buildings are considered historically significant. The Administration building was originally built as the Quilcene Ranger Station office (building 2002) in 1934. The District purchased the property from the Forest Service in 2011.
